The main challenge of this website was to keep separate the three distinct areas of Lucy’s business. They all fall in to distinctly different types of work, with different clients. We created a landing page that clearly directed visitors to their specific areas of interest, each of which had its’ own effective home page.

Great imagery is absolutely crucial to the aesthetic impact and commercial success of a great website so having the opportunity to work with such a talented photographer with such a great eye was a joy.

Lucy is pretty tech confident but time short so she’s had great input into the build (whilst still being happy to let me do what I do). We made a great team as we had a pretty similar vision, ideas, and taste.

In a very popular sector, it was important for Lucy to convey her personality and style without overwhelming her clients. We’ve kept things simple, friendly, chatty and accessible. The temptation is always there to get overly “clever” and “designery” with these sorts of projects and miss the important part, the work is beautiful and speaks for itself, it doesn’t need all the bells and whistles.

Handover of this project, as with all projects means Lucy can make any necessary updates to content which is great for her as by the very nature of her job she is generating so much content to share. Training is given though, to be honest she’s got it pretty sussed, I’m here if she needs me but the site is hers now.
